📡 BackerKit Surveys Are OUT + Stretch Goal #6 UNLOCKED + We're Award Finalists! 🏆
1 day ago – Thu, Jun 04, 2026 at 02:43:48 AM

Hello crew! 👋

Mission Control checking in with a big one:

  • BackerKit surveys,
  • An Unlocked stretch goal,
  • Award news, and
  • A production update.

Let's get straight into it!

📨 BackerKit Surveys Have Been Sent!

Check your inboxes, your BackerKit survey is officially on its way!

First, a small apology: these went out a little later than we originally planned. We held back on purpose, as Kickstarter and Backerkit highly recommend waiting two weeks after a campaign closes to leave space for all transactions to be fully processed. We wanted every single backer accounted for before opening the surveys, and now we're good to go!

Here's what we need from you — and this part is really important:

Check your email and complete your BackerKit Surveys!

  • Confirm your order and the language version(s) of your games. This is the MOST important step! Your confirmations directly determine how we organise our stock, so please double-check this carefully. We do need this done latest by 11th of June!
  • Confirm your delivery address. Don't worry if you move later, you'll be able to update your address closer to the fulfilment date. For now, your country is what matters most.

Due to the current volatility in global shipping costs, shipping fees and applicable taxes for this project will be calculated at a later date, once we can provide the most accurate estimates based on each backer’s delivery address.

Our plan is to finalize and collect shipping fees and taxes approximately one month before fulfillment, when we have a clearer understanding of the actual costs involved in delivering rewards.

We will notify all backers as soon as shipping costs have been finalized and before any charges are made through the BackerKit survey process. Throughout the project, we will keep you informed every step of the way and provide regular updates as new information becomes available.

In case you missed it, we have included the shipping estimates on our Kickstarter campaign page

Completing your survey on time keeps the whole mission running smoothly, so please don't leave it floating in space! 🛰️

Now some great news.....

🔓 Stretch Goal #6: The Project Lab — UNLOCKED!

YOU DID IT! The Final Reactor Sequence is complete, and Mission Control has officially approved the unlocking of Stretch Goal #6: The Project Lab! 🎉

Those final transmissions, Reactor Room photos, and comments came pouring in, and once again, this community showed up. Thank you!

As a reminder, here's what you've unlocked:

  • 🖨️ 3D-Printable Clip-it Files — Download, print, and snap your LabBox blocks onto anything. No 3D printer? No problem — the files are compatible with all major online printing services.
  • 📘 5 Guided Project Books — Step-by-step guides to build 5 real-world projects using only the blocks already in your Reactor Rescue box, with the science behind each one.

We'll be sharing the files closer to the delivery date in September, so keep an eye on these updates!

🏆 Reactor Rescue Is a GEE Awards Finalist!

We have some incredible news to share: Reactor Rescue has been selected as a finalist at the GEE Awards! 🚀

We're beyond honoured to see our game recognised among amazing educational games. Winners will be announced on July 9th, fingers, toes, and circuits crossed!

And here's where you come in: there's also a People's Choice Award, and voting is now LIVE!

You've carried us this far, crew! We'd would absolutely love your support on this vote. It takes less than a minute, and it would mean the world to us! 💜

🏭 Production Update: On Schedule for September!

Quick and sweet: Production is moving along exactly as planned with our partner Hape, and we remain on track to deliver Reactor Rescue to you in September. We'll keep sharing behind-the-scenes progress as things roll off the line!

🔧 Add-on Update: Silicone Bowls are now Felt Bowls!

During the campaign we dropped an Add-on: The Silicone Bowls.

During prototyping and testing, we found that felt material outperforms silicone in the ways that matter most for gameplay: tokens don't slide around, and the bowls snap flat more reliably for storage — silicone's shape memory kept fighting the fold, and we just weren't happy with it. So we made the call: the bowls are now premium felt.

We only make changes like this when testing shows it makes the experience better in your hands, and this one absolutely does.

Your choice, always: Since this is a material change, we want to make sure everyone is happy with it. For all of you who have the bowls in your pledge, your BackerKit survey includes the option to keep them or remove them, entirely up to you. We're confident you'll love the felt, but the choice is yours!

And lastly...

Thank you, as always, for being the best crew a first-time creator team could ask for. Complete those BackerKit surveys, cast your GEE Awards vote, and we'll see you in the next transmission!

From everyone at Mission Control, we salute you! 🫡

🎉 THANK YOU!!!!! The Reactor Rescue campaign has crossed the finish line! - What's next?
15 days ago – Thu, May 21, 2026 at 08:06:14 AM

🎉🎉🎉  WE HAVE LIFTOFF! Mission complete, crew! The Reactor Rescue Kickstarter campaign has officially crossed the finish line!

We just cracked open a bottle, and Mission Control SALUTES YOU!

It's been an incredible month. We've been glued to the Kickstarter page almost non-stop, and every time those numbers on the ticker moved, we made it a habit to say thank you. Each and every one of you, all 2200 of you were on our minds as you took action and backed Reactor Rescue.

As you already know, we're first-time Kickstarter creators. So, you can only imagine what this ride has been like and what you have done for us! Every experience was brand new, and every milestone hit us with that "OMG, OMG, OMG" intensity. Sometimes we didn't even know how to process it. So truly - THANK YOU!

We'll say this. We've loved every step of building Reactor Rescue. From the moment the idea was born to every iteration, every playtest, every review. We celebrated every sample we received in the process. Everything that met our standards was a moment of joy, and everything that didn't was reviewed and improved until it did.

But YOU! You were the best part of all of it. You made everything we worked for, REAL. And we are incredibly happy to be bringing the games into your hands in September!

Some great news from our side.....Production Is Already Underway

Our partner Hape has been busy getting manufacturing in order, and we're thrilled to announce that things are already moving. This means we're on track to deliver Reactor Rescue to you in September!

This also means we need to move fast, together. There's a lot to organise over the next 4 months to make sure everything runs smoothly!

What's Next?

Right now, you don't need to do anything. Here's how the next few weeks will unfold:

  • Over the next 2 weeks, Kickstarter will collect all funds and we'll import everything into BackerKit — our pledge manager.
  • In about 7 days, you'll receive a BackerKit survey link. This survey will ask you to finalise your pledge, add extra copies or add-ons, and provide your delivery address. We'll post an update as soon as those invitations go out.

This is really important: Once you receive the BackerKit survey, we need you to take action! Finalising your order and delivery details on time allows us to smoothly organise the rest of our operations. Shipping costs will be calculated closer to the delivery date, so you get the most accurate rates.

Don't worry, if you need to update your address later, you'll still be able to do so closer to the fulfilment date. For now, the most important things are your country and final order quantities so we can lock in production numbers and keep everything on schedule.

Now... the Stretch Goal #6: "The Project Lab" — 3D-Printable Clip-it Files + 5 Guided Projects

The Final Reactor Sequence — Status Update!

As you know, Mission Control has approved the unlocking of Stretch Goal #6 once the Final Reactor Sequence is completed — but it still needs some work! We've tallied all the missions and here's where we stand:

  • ✅ Mission 1 — 205/200 transmissions. Finally done!
  • ✅ Mission 2 — COMPLETE ⚡
  • ✅ Mission 3 — COMPLETE ⚡
  • ⚠️ Mission 4 — 103/250 photos. This one needs more power!
  • ✅ Mission 5 — COMPLETE ⚡
  • ✅ Mission 6 — COMPLETE ⚡
  • ⚠️ Mission 7 — 80/100 comments received. Just 20 more and we make this happen!

All missions except Mission 4 and Mission 7 are complete. We need 20 more comments and a few more Reactor Rescue Room photos to unlock it. Let's do this!

Mission 4: For the Reactor Room — if you can't find your backer number, just use your name!

Mission 7: As we close out this campaign, drop a comment and let us know: what's your favourite thing about Reactor Rescue? 20 more and we hit that goal and open Stretch Goal #6 together!

Time is running out! The Final Reactor Sequence closes on May 31st, that gives us just days to hit those final targets and unlock Stretch Goal #6. Let's make it happen, crew!

What is Stretch Goal #6: The Project Lab

🎯Mission #7: Last Mission of The Final Reactor Sequence
17 days ago – Tue, May 19, 2026 at 10:30:45 AM

OMG! It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN!

45 hours left. 3338% funded. 1,928 backers.

We just want to pause for a second, because look at what you've done. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. These last hours have our hearts beating a little different.
A month ago we pressed launch and held our breath. You turned it into something we'll never forget.

Now let's make these final 45 hours count. We have a mission sequence to complete and unlock Stretch Goal #6!

First....THE MISSION BOARD: WHERE WE STAND TODAY
⚠️ Mission 1 — 178 / 200 transmissions. So close. 22 to go.
✅ Mission 2 — COMPLETE ⚡
✅ Mission 3 — COMPLETE ⚡
⚠️ Mission 4 — 60 / 250 photos. This one needs more power!
✅ Mission 5 — COMPLETE ⚡
✅ Mission 6 — COMPLETE ⚡ YOU CRUSHED IT! 167 responses on a target of 43. One thing is clear - this crew loves puzzles!
🆕 Mission 7 — The final mission. Keep reading.

4 done. 2 still open. 1 brand new. 45 hours to finish the sequence.

THE PROJECT LAB — STRETCH GOAL #6 - 5 guided real-world projects. 3D-printable Clip-its. Builds using the same components sitting in your Reactor Rescue box. We built it for this community. We really want you to have it. ❤️

We've never been this close. Let's not leave it on the table.

And now.....

Mission #7: Final Power-Up

This is it. The last mission. The campaign is ending in 45 hours and it needs one final surge of energy from the crew!

Your mission: Go to the Reactor Rescue campaign page. Look at everything, the Game components, the electronic blocks, the engineers, the box, the gameplay. Pick your favorite part. Comment it on this update!

"My favorite part of Reactor Rescue is ___"

Every comment powers up the reactor one more time. Let's make some noise on Kickstarter and give Reactor Rescue one final boost before the clock hits zero!!

🎯 100 comments to mark Mission #7 as COMPLETE.

Now let's talk about unfinished business.

⚠️ Mission #1: Transmission Log — 22 to go.

178 out of 200. We are right there. 22 of you need to make this happen!

22 reports. 46 hours. This crew can do that in their sleep!

⚠️ Mission #4: The Reactor Room — the one that needs you most.

60 out of 250. Take a photo of the spot where Reactor Rescue is going to hit the table for the first time. Kitchen table. Living room floor. Classroom. Grandma's house. 30 seconds.

👉 SUBMIT YOUR REACTOR ROOM PHOTO

Every photo counts. If you've done every other mission and skip this one, the sequence stays incomplete.

This community has blown us away from day one. You've solved puzzles, lit up maps, cracked codes, freed engineers, and showed up every single time we asked.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Now let's finish what we started.

See you at the finish line!

🎯Mission #6: Crack the Code⚡
18 days ago – Mon, May 18, 2026 at 02:44:33 PM

Hello again from Mission Control!

Less than 72 hours on the clock. OMG! We can't believe it, we're so close to the finish line!

3 missions already COMPLETE. And today we're dropping Mission #6!

Let's get into it.
MISSION BOARD: WHERE WE STAND
⚠️ Mission 1 — 134 / 200 transmissions. So close. 66 to go.
✅ Mission 2 — COMPLETE ⚡
✅ Mission 3 — COMPLETE ⚡
⚠️ Mission 4 — 23 / 250 photos. This one needs all of us.
✅ Mission 5 — COMPLETE ⚡
🆕 Mission 6 — Dropping right now. Keep reading.
🔒 Mission 7 — Drops tomorrow.

Less than 72 hours to finish the sequence. You know what's on the line.

THE PROJECT LAB: STRETCH GOAL #6
All 7 missions COMPLETE = the Project Lab unlocked. 5 guided real-world projects. 3D-printable Clip-its. Builds using the same components in your Reactor Rescue box. This is the stretch goal that gives your box a whole new dimension. We really want you to have this. ❤️

And now..... 🔐 Mission #6: Crack the Code

Are you in the mood to crack the code?

Someone locked the engineers in the Reactor Room. Great timing.

The good news: they found the emergency door panel. The bad news: it needs a 6-digit escape code. The worse news: someone labeled the system like this:

1 — Wire · 2 — Sensor · 3 — Output Block · 4 — Switch · 5 — Repair Token · 6 — Power Block · 7 — Battery · 8 — Closed Circuit · 9 — Open Circuit

Mission Control found 3 clues scratched on the wall, each clue gives you two digits of the code. Solve all three to find the 6-digit code!
👉 CRACK THE CODE

🎯 Goal: 43 correct responses to mark Mission #6 as COMPLETE.
That's Mission 6.

Now let's talk about the missions that are still waiting on you.

⚠️ Mission #4: The Reactor Room -  needs your help.
23 out of 250. This is the mission that needs the biggest push right now.
Take a photo of the spot where you'll play Reactor Rescue for the first time. Kitchen table. Living room floor. Classroom. Grandma's house. Holiday cabin. Wherever it's happening, we want to see it.
👉 SUBMIT YOUR REACTOR ROOM PHOTO
If everyone reading this right now submitted a photo, we'd be done by tonight. 30 seconds. Let's go.

⚠️ Mission #1: Transmission Log - 66 to go.
134 out of 200. We're THIS close. Share why you backed Reactor Rescue yet, do it now. One sentence, one link, one hashtag. That's it.

Share the Reactor Rescue Kickstarter link on any social platform with one sentence about why you backed it.

Less than 72 hours. 4 missions to complete. The Project Lab is right there!

Let's bring it home!

The last mission drops tomorrow!

🎯Mission #5: Recharge Mode ⚡
19 days ago – Sun, May 17, 2026 at 12:50:06 PM

🔋⚡Mission #5: Recharge Mode ⚡

Crew, it’s Sunday.

You’ve been working hard all week helping us keep the reactor alive, so Mission Control decided to play a little joke today…

  • Why did the circuit go to therapy?
    • Because it had too many unresolved issues. 😄🤭😜

🎯 Mission 5 is already marked as COMPLETE.

That’s it. You’ve earned a recharge day.

But since we’re in joke mode now, here’s your optional Sunday challenge:

Come up with a joke about engineers, circuits, Mission Control, or Reactor Rescue and drop it in the comments.

Best one gets a shoutout from Mission Control.

And if your battery still has some energy left, Mission 1 and Mission 4 are still blinking on the dashboard. Mission 3 is almost done, just 2 more countries and it’s complete! ⚡

If you already helped with those: feet up, crew. Mission Control salutes you. 🫡⚡

Mission 6 drops tomorrow.

Arta & Fiona 💜
